We have been successfully retraining racehorses at Lakeview Stud for over 10 years and have developed a system that has enabled us to take quality, well-bred racehorses off the track and turn them into top class eventers, showjumpers and dressage horses.
Over the years we have been doing this, we have produced hundreds of horses that have reached the very top levels of their discipline including elite dressage champions and advanced eventers. We take our time with these horses ensuring that they are physically and mentally ready for the change of career. Our fantastic facilities here allow us to give them the very best all round education.

I have bought 2 fabulous horses from Amy, I bought my current horse Daisy as a 5yo ex-racehorse exactly as described, carefully retrained and totally unspoilt. Excellent trial facilities being able to hack and jump in an open field made the decision to purchase very easy, Amy was great in helping the sale, vetting and move run smoothly and it is lovely that she still follows the horse’s in their new homes. Daisy has been more than I ever thought I wanted and has taken me from BE90 to Novice level, she is the most amazing cross country horse, excels in dressage but equally happy to round up sheep or take the dogs out. I do think thoroughbreds are the most intelligent, robust and versatile horses you can get and would not hesitate to buy another from Amy.
